About Me

My Story & Experience

Anna Wilson

In 2005, my NHS career commenced when I qualified as an adult gynaecology nurse. I then decided to convert over into the world of midwifery a year later and qualified in 2008.

In 17 years of practicing as a midwife, I can honestly say that my desire and passion to help and support new parents has only flourished. I have previously practiced as a tongue-tie specialist midwife working in the NHS for 7 years, before considering to offer this service as I do now privately. I thoroughly enjoy this role and wanted to further develop my knowledge and skills in infant feeding which was when I decided to undertake the IBCLC course.

Having breastfed both of my daughters Willow and Oaklee, I navigated many hurdles such as nipple trauma, blocked milk ducts, thrush and tongue-tie. We eventually turned a corner and had a wonderful breastfeeding journey, with them naturally self-weaning at 3 and 4 years of age. I understand the struggles breastfeeding mothers face from both a personal and a professional standpoint, that this is what has inspired me to do all I can to help and support new mothers.

My aim is to reach out and support parents, who feel they are not receiving the advice, support and recommendations that everyone deserves. I can empathise with you as well as share my specialist knowledge and skills in an unhurried and caring manner.

I look forward to supporting your infant feeding journey.
